Eagle East Producing Ore

September 30, 2019: We are pleased to announce that the first ore from Eagle East ore body was mined and delivered to the mill on Monday, September 30, 2019, for processing.

Eagle Mine Extends its Life of Mine

September 5, 2019: Eagle Mine and Lundin Mining are pleased to announce an increase in the Probable Mineral Reserve estimate for the Eagle East ore body. Underground infill and extension drilling from the past year has increased the Eagle East Mineral Reserve estimate to 2.3 million tonnes at 3.2% nickel and 2.6% copper, extending Eagle Mine’s life by over a year to mid-2025.

Eagle Mine to Conclude Regional Exploration Program

August 21, 2019: Today we are announcing that our regional exploration program in southern Houghton and Baraga counties will conclude over the coming days. The program commenced in the spring of 2018 with aerial magnetic surveys, and drilling commenced in the spring of 2019.

Eagle Mine discusses exploration plan for Western Upper Peninsula

On Thursday, May 30, we held two Open Houses in L’Anse and Covington to discuss with local community members our exploration plans in the Western Upper Peninsula. Both open houses had a large turnout, with 70 people at L’Anse, and 83 people in Covington. Overall, several in attendance were supportive of our exploration plan, and many great questions were asked.

In May, we wrapped our Spring Community Forums in Marquette County, Michigan. We hold our forums twice a year where we provide community members a quick update on our operations.
